We are following up with Post-Event Resources to the March 7 special forum, “Prepare Yourself: Defend Your DEI Programs.” Although we shared these resources during the session, we want to make sure everyone has them, including those in the Group who could not attend. We believe this topic, “Preparing yourself to defend your DEI programs,” is extremely relevant at this time, and worth everyone’s attention who works in the DEI space. This Toolkit was developed in 2023 in collaboration with this Group at our April 2023 Strategic Thinking Meeting. Although we’ve sent this to you previously, we are sending again as part of this collection of resources.
Letters sent to companies meant to threaten their DEI efforts
We reviewed the following four letters (of the 38 that had been sent by American First Legal so far at the time of this meeting). The questions we used to assess the letters were:
– What are the practices the letter is attacking?
– What are the implications of a letter like this for your DEIB programs and practices?
– What should you be doing to fortify and sustain your DEIB efforts so they are not vulnerable to these kinds of attacks?
